Governance & Transparency

Last updated · 15 September 2026

Credibility and accountability are the benchmark Venus Foundation is held to. As the CSR initiative of Venus Remedies Limited, every rupee we spend is somebody else's money given in trust, so we run a four-tier review and audit mechanism over how programmes are chosen, how they are delivered and how the funds behind them are used — and we publish our statutory standing here so partners, donors and compliance teams can confirm it without having to ask us first.

The approval was granted on Form 10AD by the Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemptions), Chandigarh. We publish the number, the authority and the period it covers — not a scan of the order — because the number is what anyone can actually check.

Accountability in practice

Four-tier review and audit

No single person signs off on a programme, and no programme is judged by the people who run it alone. Four separate layers of review sit between an idea and a completed project.

  1. A

    Programme review

    Continuous, at the site

Our CSR project team verifies every initiative on the ground — school by school, camp by camp. Attendance, material handed over and work completed are recorded at the site itself, not reconstructed later from bills.

  2. B

    Internal compliance check

    Monthly

A dedicated compliance officer tracks statutory filings, registration validity and the paperwork behind each disbursement, so nothing is discovered to be missing at the end of a financial year.

  3. C

    Statutory audit

    Annually

The Trust's accounts are audited each year by an independent firm of chartered accountants, and the audit report is filed with the Income Tax Department as the conditions of our registration require.

  4. D

    Board and corporate oversight

    Quarterly

The Chairperson and Trustees set direction and review what the programmes achieved against what was approved. As the CSR arm of Venus Remedies Limited, our spending is also reported through the company's own CSR disclosures under Section 135 of the Companies Act.

From proposal to proof

How a project is chosen and monitored

  1. 01

    Need is established first

Proposals reach us from schools, government departments, local bodies and partner organisations. Before anything is committed, the need is checked in person.

  2. 02

    Approval and written terms

Scope, cost and the delivery timeline are agreed in writing with the implementing partner or institution before work begins.

  3. 03

    Periodic monitoring

Work is reviewed while it is in progress, with photographs, handover records and site visits — not just a closing report.

  4. 04

    Impact reported back

What each initiative reached — students, patients, toilets built, women trained — is recorded and published on this site as it happens.

No need to take our word

Verify this independently

You do not have to take our word for any of it. The Income Tax Department publishes a searchable register of every institution it has approved. Search it using our PAN and the details above should match exactly, including the registration number and the assessment years the approval covers.
